Garlett Group was delighted to work with Danjoo Koorliny Walking Together to provide communications services and Master of Ceremony services for the 2024 Bunuru Social Impact Summit held at Kaarta Koomba, Kings Park on March 13.
The Bunuru Social Impact Summit convened a diverse array of thought leaders, change-makers, artists, and innovators from across Western Australia. They shared their unique perspectives, experiences, and insights to examine the transformation of Aboriginal culture from survival to flourishing since colonial times.
In 2024, the theme “Culture: Survival, Resilience, Strength & Celebration” guided the discussions. This year also marked the fifth anniversary of Danjoo Koorliny’s establishment, marking the halfway point in its 10-year journey towards the 2029 bicentenary.
The Summit served as a vibrant celebration of Aboriginal culture, values, and accomplishments. Discussions were culturally affirming and sought to challenge existing paradigms. Participants explored innovative approaches to addressing social, economic, and environmental challenges, all while enhancing and empowering how Aboriginal communities are represented, now and in the future, aligned with Danjoo Koorliny’s vision beyond 2029.
