Sculpture at Bathers with Curtin University

Director of Garlett Group, Emma Garlett, recently attended the Sculpture at Bathers Alumni Tour—a truly inspiring event hosted by Professor Harlene Hayne CNZM, Vice Chancellor of Curtin University.

This special evening brought together alumni and supporters of the arts to experience the breathtaking works on display at one of Western Australia’s most anticipated cultural events. The tour was thoughtfully led by Tony Jones OAM, Curtin University alumnus and Founder of Sculpture at Bathers, alongside Sandra Murray, Artistic Director and Lead Curator. Their deep knowledge and passion for the arts provided a meaningful layer of insight into each sculpture showcased along the coast.

Emma expressed her sincere gratitude for the invitation, reflecting on how powerful it was to see such creative talent flourishing within our local community. “The artists’ ability to translate complex ideas into visual form is truly moving,” she said. “It’s a beautiful reminder of the role that art plays in shaping our understanding of culture, identity, and place.”

Sculpture at Bathers continues to highlight the vibrant and diverse voices of WA’s artistic landscape, offering a unique opportunity to engage with art in a natural, open-air setting.

If you haven’t visited yet, we highly recommend making time to explore this incredible exhibition. It’s an experience that captures the spirit of Western Australia—creative, bold, and deeply connected to its people and place.
